Inspired by McDonald's decision to do away with its Dollar Menu and institute the "Dollar Menu & More" (launching November 4th), Thrillist set out to assemble a burger made with every Dollar Menu item before the name change goes into effect.
The resulting creation contains three sandwiches (a cheeseburger, a McChicken, and a grilled onion cheddar burger), along with a side salad, a fruit 'n yogurt parfait, and two chocolate chip cookies.
Technically, not every item on the Dollar Menu made it on to the burger. There's none of the breakfast items, and it's missing the soft-serve cone and sweet tea (probably a good thing). The McDouble, which is listed on the online version of the menu, wasn't available at the time of the visit.
According to the taste-testers, the result was "a beautifully weird symphony of fake-tasting stuff" and "the grossest combinations of grease and sugar since the Jersey Shore crew worked at an ice cream shop."
Thrillist refers to their creation as a "McMonstrosity" in the post, but it's unclear if that was intended to be its official name, or just an adjective. If naming rights are open, my vote is the "Six Buck McChuck".
