Yesterday, Canadian pizza chain Boston Pizza announced a new line of pizza-fied items, including PizzaSalad, Pizza Apple Crisp, and Pizza Bread Pudding. ...For April Fool's Day. So no PizzaSalad/Apple Crisp/Bread Pudding for you. That's probably for the best.
But one of the items that is real is their Pizzaburger, a half-pound burger patty wrapped in a pizza/a burger-stuffed pizza pocket. Boston Pizza make two kinds: the Pepperoni and Bacon Pizzaburger stuffed with bacon, mozzarella, and pizza sauce, and topped with pepperoni and mozzarella; and the Five-Cheese Pizzaburger stuffed with mozzarella, cheddar, feta, Asiago, Parmesan, and pizza sauce. They also come with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. Both burgers cost CA$14.99 (US$14.77) with fries or a salad.
Overall, it doesn't sound like a bad idea—a huge pizza pocket with a beef patty in it. If any AHT'ers in Canada try this thing, let us know how it is.
