This month, burger documentarian (and all around awesome guy) George Motz released his guide to America's best burgers, Hamburger America, an updated version of his book that first came out in 2008. The second edition includes 52 new burger joints (the extra two because two places in the first book had closed) for a total of 150 roadside stands, nostalgic diners, mom-n-pop shops, and college town favorites across the country, accompanied by plenty of hunger-inducing photographs.
With the updated book also comes a new iPhone app, Burger GPS. This free app features maps and detailed listings (details like how to order the burger and what to drink with it) of Motz-approved burgers joints.
Thanks to the nice folks at Running Press, we have five books to give away to our readers. To enter the contest, just tell us in the comments section below: Where would you go on your dream burger road trip?
Contest will end and comments will close at 12 p.m. ET, Monday, May 30, 2011. One entry per community member. Winners are limited to U.S. residents. Standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.
