Last year when Nick went to Italy, he looked for a "a local interpretation of America's favorite sandwich" and came up empty handed—aside from McDonald's, there wasn't much to be found.
But starting tomorrow, a local interpretation can be found at McDonald's with the debut of their McItaly line, which includes two burgers and one salad, made entirely of ingredients produced in Italy. One burger will be topped with artichoke spread, Asiago cheese, and lettuce, while the other will feature Italian olive oil, onion and smoked pancetta.
Obviously, if you're visiting Italy there are many more worthwhile foods to eat there than those found at McDonald's, but it's always interesting to see the different choices at McDonald's around the world.
