Photo of the Day: In-N-Out Wedding

Robyn Lee 2 comments

How to serve food at a wedding that people will be excited about: rent an In-N-Out truck to cater your wedding. For her wedding back in 2008, photographer Ashley Rose hired an In-N-Out "Cookout Trailer" to serve her guests burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches. (She also hired a caterer for fries—unavailable from the In-N-Out trailer—and other sides.) Read more details on her blog and check out In-N-Out's website for full specifications. More

Still need a Halloween costume idea? You can do what Burger Lab writer Kenji did two years ago and dress up as a Burger King. The story: "I needed a costume. I had an orange shirt, I bought some felt and a crown... that's it." Easy peasy. (Or you can check out these other burger and food-related costume ideas.) More

Photo of the Day: In-N-Out Coming Soon to Shanghai?

Robyn Lee 2 comments

From the looks of this sign a passerby might think In-N-Out is opening in Shanghai, but unless the famously slow expanding chain has built a new beef processing plant in China....nope. Shanghai-based AHT reader Josh Atkin sent this photo in to us, saying it looked like "a classic case of Chinese bootlegging." But does it taste good? We'll find out from Josh later. More

Photo of the Day: Burger Kiddie Ride in Spain

Robyn Lee 2 comments

Serious Eats editor Erin Zimmer is currently in Spain for a press trip. I didn't expect her to get any burger intel, but she just emailed me this gem of a photo: a cheeseburger-themed kiddie ride inside a restaurant. Perfect for the kid (or two kids, seeing as there are two handles) who enjoys a good rhythmic jostling with their meal. Now I wish I could've gone to Spain with Erin, if not for, you know, all the Spanish food, then to ride in the burger together. More

This unique sign for Hamburguesas Krusty (a Spanish take on Springfield's favorite burger joint, Krusty Burger, probably not endorsed by Fox) was spotted in Sucre, Bolivia, by photographer and blogger Juergen Horn over at travel blog Bolivia for 91 Days. "These Krusty Burger joints are all over Bolivia," said Juergen. Anyone ever been to a Hamburguesas Krusty before? More

Photo of the Day: Cheeseburger from J.G. Melon

Robyn Lee 12 comments

I've been living in New York City for about six years and only tried J.G. Melon for the first time this month. Yes, for shame. And I regret that I hadn't gone sooner—now I'd easily name their cheeseburger ($9.25) one of my favorite burgers in the city. Nick Solares wrote a great review of J.G. Melon back in 2008, but his words still ring true today. More
