The local burger shops near me keep my cravings for beef patties covered with melted cheese more than satisfied, but there are a few burgers I've just got to try, like the green chile cheeseburger from Santa Fe Bite, the classic cheeseburger served on a personalized plate at Irv's, and the "perfectly correct" burger at J.G. Melon (according to Alan Richman). Which burgers are on your bucket list? Chime in with your picks in this week's Open Thread.
Results of Last Week's Poll
According to last week's poll , only 20 percent of AHT'ers say they take photos of the burgers they order at restaurants or make at home. The majority (46 percent) say they never snap burger photos, while 34 percent do so occasionally. Here is what a few of you had to say in the comments:
I write for a decently sized blog here in Phoenix, and when I do a sandwich story I pretty much HAVE to take a picture...and I feel like such a wiener, every time.
Once in a blue moon I'll take a picture of food I made, if it's particularly interesting for some reason. Such as the time I made a shooter's sandwich, or the Simpsons-inspired peanut butter and pretzel sandwich I made for my kid. But other than that, I'm with @AndroidUser—there's no reason for anybody but food reviewers to do it.
I do mainly because I use FoodSpotting (my one admittedly hipster activity). It is not without the gleeful chiding from my girlfriend though....
Note: the poll remains open, so these numbers may shift slightly in the future.
