Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, somebody has gone and done it. There's a blog dedicated to creating the featured burgers of the day from Bob's Burgers. If you're not familiar with the show, in each episode, a different "daily special" is written on the blackboard behind the counter as a running gag (see examples here). So far, Cole Bowden has willed 14 of the daily specials into existence on his Tumblr blog, The Bob's Burger Experiment.
Cole and his roommate Alex started the project last January after binge-watching episodes of Bob's Burgers on Netflix. Inspired by the punny burger names and a desire to cook more meals from scratch, they began their quest to create burgers starring the featured ingredients.
Cole says all of the burgers have been good so far, but some are much better than others. Some of his favorite burgers are the Foot Feta-ish Burger (a beef patty stuffed with Chevretine goat feta on a ciabatta bun smeared with mustard dressing and a dash of Sriracha) and the Bruschetta-bout it Burger (Angus beef with bruschetta and mozzarella cheese and balsamic vinegar on toasted french bread).
Though he's not posting recipes, the posts are a fun read, and a good source for inspiration for your next burger or A Hamburger Tuesday submission. Keep it up, Cole!
