Chris made this burger with freshly ground beef seasoned with Dijon, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. The patty, grilled medium-rare, sits on top of crispy bacon strips and is topped with cheddar, cucumber, and a dollop of his homemade Chipotle BBQ sauce. On top of all that, there's a sunny-side up egg. Read more on smokomotivebbq.
Eggs benedict was the inspiration for this burger from Dax. It features a ground chuck patty topped with Nueske's Canadian bacon and an over easy egg slathered in hollandaise sauce. In keeping with the benny theme, the bun is an english muffin. More photos and the recipe are on simplecomfortfood.com.
Sue says this burger was inspired by the "epically delicious" biscuits and jam at Red Bread in Culver City, California. The 1/2-pound patty made from fresh ground grass fed beef is seasoned with salt and pepper and fried in bacon fat over high heat on a cast iron skillet for maximum crustiness. Toppings include wild baby arugula and homemade Early Girl tomato jam. The bun is a buttered buttermilk biscuit.
Jenn submitted a photo of her homemade version of the Mac Attack burger, a burger with breaded and fried macaroni and cheese "buns" popularized by Rockit Burger Bar in Chicago. Her recipe is a faster and easier version of the original recipe. Find it on her blog, Kirbie's Cravings.
