Poll: Would You Have a Burger for Your Last Bite on Earth?

Let's say you somehow knew when your last bite on earth would be (and had time to plan for it in advance). Would it be a burger, or something else? Let us know in this week's poll. If a burger isn't your first choice, we promise we won't hold it against you. As much as I love burgers (so, so much), my heart says a giant bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough might be even better.

Results from Last Week's Poll

In last week's poll about burger sides, shoestring fries and onion rings took an early lead and maintained it throughout the polling period, with 21 and 20 percent of the vote, respectively. Here's what a few of you had to say:

Gimme some quality twice-fried fries from fresh potatoes and I'm a happy man. However, I can be persuaded into having a nicely prepared potato salad if the fries aren't fresh.

Bob C from Pittsburgh

Curly fries all the way. I can't imagine why given a choice you'd prefer your fries straight over twisted into a spiral.

Where is my poutine option? Over the last few years i've been able to order poutine as my side for everything and it's made me so happy. Chicken fingers and pountine. Burgers and poutine. Poutine and poutine. oh, Canada!

Ed Note: Yeah, nevenamart... rub it in, why dontcha? *wipes tear*

Poll Results

Shoestring fries (21 percent) and onion rings (20 percent) were the highest vote-getters by a large margin. Tater tots came in third place, with 14 percent of the vote, followed by steak fries (11 percent), sweet potato fries (9 percent) and curly fries (9 percent). Waffle fries earned 7 percent of votes, narrowly beating out crinkle cut fries (6 percent). The least popular options were sweet potato tots and potato chips, with just 2 percent of the vote.

Note: the poll remains open, so these numbers may shift slightly in the future.
