According to an Associated Press report, early next year, McDonald's will begin allowing customers the option of swapping the fries that come standard with value meals for a side salad, vegetables, or fruit (at no extra cost) in 20 of the chain's biggest markets around the world, including the U.S. The move towards healthier alternatives sounds like a smart plan, but it begs the question: would you take a pass on McDonald's fries in favor of a salad, fruit, or vegetables? Let us know in this week's poll.
Results from Last Week's Poll
Last week, we asked if you'd have a burger for your last bite on earth. The results were pretty evenly split between yes and no, with 47 percent of respondents voting for a burger as their last meal, and 53 percent saying they'd go with something else. Some of the proposed alternatives to a burger noted in the comments included everything from lobster (which got two votes) to a giant spoonful of brownie batter.
Note: the poll remains open, so these numbers may shift slightly in the future.
