Video: How to Make a Cheeseburger Ice Cream Sundae from Food Deconstructed
What is a cheeseburger ice cream sundae? Cheddar and caramelized onion-flavored ice cream (enhanced with beef stock) topped with candied beef bacon and drizzled with ketchup-bacon-caramel sauce, according to this interpretation by Food Deconstructed. In this video chef Adrian Bustamante makes cheddar ice cream with a mix-in of caramelized onions, beef bacon baked with a coating of brown sugar, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon, and caramel sauce flavored with sautéed bacon, butter, vanilla, and ketchup.
The final result appears to taste...not bad. Better than a burger topped with ice cream, I'd guess.
