Next month Burger King Japan is releasing new Pizza-Size Burgers [PDF], extra-wide burgers that are 22 cm (8.7 in) in diameter. The burgers feature four patties and standard Whopper toppings (mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and onion), but in two variations: Fresh Avocado, with avocado; and Cheese Nacho, with tortilla chips, cheese sauce, and jalapeño. Whopper toppings cover the whole burger, with half also topped with Fresh Avocado or Cheese Nacho. (It's like a half plain, half avocado or cheese/tortilla chip/jalapeño pizza. Or something.)

These burgers are based on the NY Pizza Burger that Burger King released in Japan last year as part of their Christmas holiday BK Party Set. Similarly this year, the Pizza-Size burgers are also offered as part of a party set that comes with BK Chicken Wings, soft drinks, french fries, and onion rings.

Since I can't read Japanese I'm not positive about the details of how to get the burger, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Here's my educated guess:

If you just want the burgers, you'll be able to get them at Burger King stores from December 8 to 25, for ¥1680 ($21.52) per burger.

If you want the party set, you have to pre-order it starting November 11 until December 22. Price is ¥2,680 ($34.33), or ¥2,380 ($30.49) without drinks. Deliveries will run from December 8 until 25. You must reserve at least 2 days in advance, or 3 days if you want it on December 25.

And if you're thinking, "Wait, Burger King for Christmas?" read up about the history of "party sets" in Japan.
