Earlier this month Wendy's announced they're introducing a new premium burger called Dave's Hot 'N Juicy Cheeseburger, named after founder Dave Thomas, and switching their fries to natural-cut skin-on fries made with Russett potatoes and sprinkled with sea salt. The fries are being rolled out nationwide, but the burger is currently only being tested in Las Vegas, with the nationwide release date still TBD according to Nation's Restaurant News.
The new burger is featured in this ad campaign starring Dave Thomas' daughter Wendy Thomas, aka, the pigtailed girl in the Wendy's logo. This is the first commercial she's ever appeared in for Wendy's:
"Dave's Hot 'N Juicy Cheeseburgers feature a thicker, quarter-pound patty and new ingredients like crinkle-cut pickles on a buttered, toasted bun" says Nation's Restaurant News. Las Vegas Weekly taste tested the new burger and says the meat "tastes and feels more like a burger should," but still can't compete with In-N-Out.
Has anyone else in Las Vegas tried the new burger yet? Anyone try the new fries?
