The third annual Burger Bash, one of the hottest tickets at the New York City Wine & Food Festival (the event sold out almost as soon as tickets went on sale), went down last Friday night. It was held at the Tobacco Warehouse in Brooklyn again this year, but despite being more crowded with more competitors than last year there was actually more room to breathe since additional space had been added to accommodate the ever-growing event.
Many of last year's favorites were back, such as Spike Mendelsohn of Good Stuff Eatery and Josh Capon of Lure Fishbar who were there to defend their crowns. Neither won—Bobby Flay took the top honors this year in the People's Choice with Shake Shack taking the crown handed out by the celebrity judges.
All in all, another burger-packed event. Expect it to grow again next year.
