McDonald's Hamburger Barely Changes After Sitting Out for 137 Days

This art project will surprise no one who's read about the 12-year-old McDonald's hamburger that looks about the same as a fresh one (and you probably have since, for better or worse, it's one of the top five most popular posts on this site), but if you want to see transitional photos of "the burger that just wouldn't die," check out this slideshow by photographer Sally Davies. For 137 days, Davies left a Happy Meal-sized hamburger and fries on her living room table and took a photo every day. She'll keep going until something more interesting than patty shrinkage happens.

Update (10/14/10): McDonald's responds to the experiment.
