We checked out the new Shake Shack on the southwest corner of 44th Street and 8th Avenue this afternoon because documenting Shake Shack's Midtown domination = good excuse to gorge on Shack Burgers and concretes for lunch. We joined the line that snaked out the entrance around 2:30 p.m., but the wait wasn't bad—15 minutes in the line, then 15 minutes for food (a somewhat large order of one cheeseburger, four Shack Burgers, three concretes, and two orders of fries). The food tasted as good as the other Shake Shacks, not that we expected anything else. Here's a bunch of photos of the new Shake Shack, although missing food porn because I wolfed down my burger before I could take a photo of it—eh, you probably know what it looks like.

The sign (which features 2,000 bulbs) blinks à la Broadway theater signs, but not too flashily. (I'm sure it looks cooler at night.)

The front is a bit crowded with people waiting to order and pick up their orders...

...But the seating area is quite spacious. More Broadway-inspired lighting decorates the ceiling.

Condiments, utensils, and napkins line wall featuring the menu, which is pretty much the same as the other Shake Shacks' menus aside from special concretes. (We tried all the concretes—someone's got to do it—and will review them soon on Serious Eats New York.)
