Dear AHT: F.N.Goode Burgers in Austin, TX
Here's a recommendation we recently received in the AHT inbox. You can drop us a line at burger@seriouseats.com.

Two chefs decided to open a burger place so they bought a trailer and found a "permanent" home in the biergarten of a local pub. Everything at F.N.Goode Burgers seems to be from scratch and they offer specials pretty much daily or whenever they can get their hands on special ingredients. The burgers are delicious and juicy, and the onion rings, fries, and Panchos (individually dressed nachos) are all fantastic too.
They are located at 2610 Guadalupe in the back garden of The Local Pub; they are in the big yellow trailer. If you would like to venture out of the true burger domain I suggest their meatloaf sammich or a Frito pie. All items are also available in a vegetarian version if you are so inclined; this IS Austin after all.
I should disclose that I am a friend of both owners but I would eat there even if I didn't know them. I have included a photo of the bacon cheeseburger to show why.
Thanks!
Nancy
