Five Guy's Tops 2010 Xtreme Eating Awards in Burger Catagory

Five Guy's Burgers and Fries has bested McDonald's, Burger King and the rest of the fast food industry in the 2010 Xtreme Eating Awards. The rather dubious honor, awarded by the consumer watch dog group Center for Science in the Public Interest, went to the chain's plain hamburger:
Its 700 calories (with no toppings) makes a Big Mac (540 calories) or a Quarter Pounder (410 calories) look like kids food. And the McDonald's numbers include the burgers' fixin's. A Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger has 920 calories and 30 grams of saturated fat (1 1/2 days' worth) without toppings. Think two Quarter Pounders.
It seems like a small price to pay considering how much more delicious a Five Guys burger is, even plain, compared to either a Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder. And frankly, can one really put a price, either caloric or monetary, on the pure, adulterated joy of eating a greasy hamburger? I think not.
