Nougatine at Jean Georges Has La Frieda Black Label Burger

~~A tip from the mailbag ...~~

Just giving you some intel.... I went to Nougatine at Jean Georges last night and they had a "Pat LaFrieda Black Label Burger" for $24. Perry Street might also have the same thing, because it and Nougatine used to have identical burgers. My boyfriend, Mike, ended up having the burger and raved about it and put it at "Number 3" (behind Minetta and Luger) of all the burgers he's had in the city. Perhaps Minetta isn't the only game in town now with the coveted Black Label beef? I don't see Jean Georges lying about that sorta thing....

UPDATE (4:30 PM): The La Frieda team told AHT correspondent Nick Solares that Nougatine is NOT using the Black Label blend (which only Minetta Tavern serves), but another La Frieda blend.
