Dear AHT: Where to Find the Best Burgers in Portland?
Here's an email we received in the AHT inbox today.
Dear AHT,
I'm planning a bachelor party for my buddy, and we're trekking from Southern California up to Portland Oregon for the weekend. Since we have no idea what to eat there, I was wondering: In your opinion(s) what is the one burger we have to eat while we're in Portland?
Pub-style burgers are a plus, but really, all burger styles are welcome (I mean, it's a burger after all, so you can't really go wrong). We'll probably be around the riverside/downtown area, and unfortunately will be limited to where public transit can take us. And if you can't narrow it down to one, we're amenable to trying more than one :)

I unfortunately have yet to set foot in Portland, so I asked former Portland resident and beer columnist for Serious Eats Maggie Hoffman for suggestions. She mentioned the bar at Higgins ("Easy to get to and they have a nice beer selection, too,") and Clyde Common. And if you want beer, she recommends Deschutes.
