Video: 'Hamburger: The Motion Picture'

An AHT reader just tipped me off to the 1986 comedy Hamburger: The Motion Picture. I'm surprised I could go this long not knowing that this movie existed, even if it's a less than stellar example of filmmaking. The plot (from the IMDB page): "Russell has been expelled from several schools for lewd, crude and nude conduct. Busterburger University is his last chance at education and satisfying his disappointed parents."

The fun continues in this review on IMDB:

This has the unholy trinity: bad acting, bad writing, and bad directing. But maybe that's part of its appeal, if you're into that sort of thing.

[...] Sure it's stupid, lame, crude, and completely disposable. But there's also lots of naked women and fart jokes. If you are the type who can find the merits of some bad movies, you should give this one a try.

There's probably a reason this movie is only on VHS and not DVD. But thank god for YouTube! Check out the trailer and the opening credits after the jump.

A selection of the song lyrics:

If you stand still and listen
You can hear 'em in the kitchen.
You can smell the french fries fryin'
And you can hear the patties sizzlin'
Sliced tomatoes, cheese, and bacon,
Soda pop, the shakes are shakin',
Aand while you're listen' and lookin'
It makes you proud to know they're cookin'

HAMBURGERS! FOR AMERICAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Have you seen the movie? Is it so bad it's good, or just really bad?
