Not being able to read German, I'm under the impression that the Big Rösti from McDonald's in Germany is a seasonal item currently available for the winter. Wikipedia describes the burger as including a quarter-pound beef patty, hash brown potato patty, Ementaler cheese, a strip of bacon, and Big Rösti sauce on an onion bun. [via FASTANDFOOD]

Burger King in the Netherlands is also using atypical patty-shaped burger toppings with the Grilled Cheese Steakhouse topped with a pillow of flame-grilled cheese, along with fried onions and spicy sauce. [via Burger Business]
