Dear AHT: Where Should I Get an Upscale Burger in NYC?
Here's a question we received yesterday in the AHT inbox.
Josh from Ohio calling in for some help in New York selecting a burger experience. I will be making a trip to NY in the near future and am already compulsively pouring over where I can eat. I have already selected Shake Shack for a sure spot, but I am also looking at trying more upscale burger. I know that there are some many good places such as Minetta Tavern, Blue Smoke, and Spotted Pig, but I am having a hard time choosing as this will be my only other burger from NY...
Any suggestions to pair with Shake Shack?

Hi Josh,
The top fancy pants burger choice seems to be Minetta Tavern, if you take Nick's advice. I've never tried it, but I trust his judgment. The chef from Lure Fishbar won the best burger award at this year's Burger Bash, so I'd assume the burger there is also awesome.

If you're doing Shack, then eliminate the Blue Smoke burger.
I've not yet had Minetta, so I can't speak for it. I do LOVE the Spotted Pig burger. Even with the blue cheese. (You can get it without, if you want.)
