Although they're from totally different food categories, burgers and macarons look pretty similar to each other. The two have finally been brought together to make this glorious hamburger macaron, made by Helen Rosner of Eat Me Daily with the help of I Love Macarons by Hisako Ogita. The macaron features cocoa-tinted macaron "buns," dried plum "patty," coffee buttercream "cheese," green decorating sugar for the lettuce and pickles, dried apricot "mustard," and raspberry jam "ketchup." French pastry chef / macaron specialist Pierre Hermé should take notice. (I'd also like to point out that if you're a burger and macaron lover, you might like this T-shirt from Hamburger Disco—the burgers resemble macarons.)
