Essential New York City Burgers from Chefs, Food Critics, and More

Time Out: New York asked nine prominent food-lovers in the city—including Frank Bruni, Tom Colicchio, Josh Capon (People's Choice Award winner from this year's Burger Bash), and our own Nick Solares—what their essential New York burger is. Shake Shack gets the most love with three votes. Minetta Tavern also gets three mentions, but its inaccessibility makes it less essential. Other approved burgers include those from the Spotted Pig, Burger Joint, and Txikito.

you know, I sure do luvs me a good Shack Burger, flavor wise. But I have to say, I never get tomatoes that look like that. Always paper thin.
