Le Waf Burger, a Burger with Waffles-For-Buns in France

French fast food blog FASTANDFOOD recently reviewed Le Waf Burger (English translation) from Belgian waffle chain Waffle Factory. The panini-esque waffle sandwich is filled with cheddar, ketchup, and ground beef—they say it tastes more like pizza than a burger (although I think it's safe to say, it probably doesn't fulfill a craving for either).

Despite that Le Waf Burger sounds sub-appetizing, I still want to try a burger with waffle buns, assuming both the burger and waffle parts are good. Has anyone else ever had one?

Sorry, but this is a place where I'm going to draw the line. If it doesn't have an actual burger patty, it's not a burger, any more than a sloppy joe or a loose meat sandwich is. It might be good, but it's not a burger.

@kaszeta: I wouldn't call this a burger either. Maybe I should've referred to it as a "burger"...
