Hamburger Warming Mouse Pad

The tagline of USB gadget store USB Geek, "Your USB Solution," implies that the Hamburger Warming Mouse Pad ($15) is the answer to a problem. A problem that can only be solved by a plush heat-generating burger that you can stick your mouse-maneuvering hand inside of. Perhaps it would make a good gift for the burger-lover with bad circulation who is constantly on the computer in a cold environment. [via Crunch Gear]

It's cute, but beyond what you said, and possibly hiding the mouse from the cat, I can't see any practical use for it.

I'd rather not see such clutter on this otherwise fine web site.
Keep the purist focus on actual burgers. Collectibles and fuzzy items should be left to Ebay and yard sales.

I really don't understand what interest an item that has to do with computers and food would have to readers of a food blog.

That's a bit of an over generalization.
AHT is not a 'food' blog, it is a burger blog specifically.
No doubt readers of this blog are using computers and mice, but those items are as inherent as the electricity that makes all possible.

It's 2009, all specialty blogs are transmitted via computer, but I only expect computer-centric blogs to cover computer peripherals, not burger blogs, ya with me?

I'm sure you could find about 300 cutesy salt and pepper shaker designs out there with a burger and bun theme, but they don't belong here.

Serious Eaters are serious! Who'd have thunk it?

Also, your yellow background is far too cutesy. Please change it to a much more Serious color like grey or beige.

NO FUN ALLOWED IN THE SERIOUS HUT.

@timruddell: But The Serious Hut sounds like SO MUCH FUN!!!
