AHT Poll: What's Your Favorite Patty Thickness?

Because there's more to a burger patty than just its size, this week we're asking what your favorite patty thickness is. Time to break out those rulers!

These polls are great. After you've got all the data it would be cool to construct the "ideal" burger from them.

I second that, although given the range of answers, might I suggest that you compose several burgers--"ideal" as ETR suggested, plus a few others based on 2nd place votes, etc? Variety is nice!

I like a very rare burger. Esp. when thick
but thin pattys will do in a qsr situation.

Thinner the better. I use a 10" cast iron pan and the perfect burger for me is about 1/3 pound smashed to almost fill the whole pan. Shrinkage usually gives a finished burger diameter of maybe 6"

I like thin, but you must have two or three thin ones staked and glued together with cheese! (think double double, or shake shack)
