AHT Poll: How Do You Like Your Buns Done?

We just found out what your favorite kind of bun is (potato). But to toast, or not to toast?

The Maillard reaction is a wonderful thing, and should be used more often.

I don't like overtoasted buns, however. They should be toasted to the point you can taste them, and have just a little bit of crunch. They shouldn't interfere with the light crispiness a decent burger patty should have.

I like 'em steamed on top of the patty, or by wrapping the finished burger in wax paper for a few minutes before eating.

Untoasted is the closest to steamed texture so that's what I voted..

i can't believe you forgot steamed! slider fans will revolt!

@rondertaker: Oops, sorry about that...I was mostly comparing toasted to untoasted, so if you like steamed, pick untoasted (like ratbuddy).

A very, very small amount of toasting. Do we count the oil used by fast food chains? Coz, to be honest, I love that shit.

Count it as buttered, I should say.

I don't like when the inside is toasted. don't like the sharp crisps. when I cook, I just throw the bun into the pan to get it hot and soak up some juices.
