New Jersey Burger King Generates Energy With A Speed Bump

Okay, not all of Burger King's innovations are good ideas. But this one is pretty awesome—a Burger King in Hillside, New Jersey, has installed a MotionPower speed bump, produced by New Energy, that converts the kinetic motion from your car into stored electricity. As you slow down to grab your Whopper, the harvester in the speed bump can produce up to 2,000 watts.

Now, when they figure out how to convert the excess burger calories you ingest into useable energy—that's when we'll really be talking.

Apparently this Burger King doesn't agree with the BK franchisee in Memphis who called global warming "baloney."

LOL @ converting the excess calories into useable energy!!!

Energy conversion and global warming are mutually exclusive beliefs.
