In her review of Blackwell's Pub in Birmingham Weekly, Molly Folse recommends a few of the unique burgers on their menu—including the PB&J burger made with smooth peanut butter and blackberry jam. Chef Tyler DeStefano says they spent two weeks trying different jams and peanut butters to settle on their current formula:
'Some people like crunchy, but it just doesn’t work with the burger,' DeStefano says. 'The blackberry is sweet enough to complement the peanut butter and beef, but not too sweet. Some customers are scared of it, but once they eat it they love it.
Has anyone else tried or make their own peanut butter and jelly burgers?

No but I might have to try it. I already told myself that I would be making a barnyard burger this weekend with meat, ham, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg. I might have to just sneak a little PB on a bite and see how it tastes.
McGuires in Destin and Pensacola makes a PB&J burger. So does this burger franchise of Mississippi (college towns) Mugshots-- I must confess to pleasant surprise of PB&J burgers!! Quite delicious they can be.
I had a friend whose family would have hamburgers every sunday after church and they'd put peanut butter on them. I had them a couple of times and it actually worked together quite nicely!

I have a jar of homemade jalepeno jam in my refrigerator, and I have made burgers with peanut butter before. I think I am going to have to put these two wonderful ideas together sometime very soon.

Ewww is my first reaction. But I would try it. I'm just not convinced that jam tastes good with a burger.

Yes, there is a place in Los Angeles called Mo's. They have a Foggy Bottom Burger with creamy peanut butter and sour plum jam. It's delicious!

Peanut butter on a burger is awesome. Although this is coming from a guy who like peanut butter and tuna salad sandwiches (hey, give it a shot!)
