On paper, it has the same characteristics as the Big Mac, same sauce, pickles, cheese, the only change is at the level of the buns are whole wheat bread. The Big Mac has never changed to my knowledge, this is a mini revolution but still remain honest in order to please the more the bread feels it so much?
Thomas says there's hardly a difference—except that it tastes a bit less salty. (There's 18 percent less salt.) A healthy Big Mac? That'll be the jour.
Feedback from the North - Big Mac Snack Wrap isn't the same as a big mac on a bun. The flour tortilla throws the encompassing flavour WAY OFF.
As for the "whole wheat" bun (au Pain); I don't think anyone concerned about their health would eat a processed burger in the first place--but HEY! If it has a different taste maybe it's worth it!
PS - Though I find a whole wheat bun on a greasy burger just as ironic as ordering a "diet" coke with your supersized #1 haha
Houston has been served over 1 billion (or so) Big Mac Wraps as a test market over the past many months. I wonder if we also now have this bun. Every little bit helps.
I would like to try how different it is with wholemeal buns, but normally I wouldn't order Big Mac as I find it hard to bite all at once. A cheeseburger would suffice for me.
Oh, and once I saw someone ordering a value meal with diet coke and no-salt fries!
Given that Kelloggs has had whole grain Cocoa Pops, Frosted Flakes, and so forth for several years, I'd say that McD's is actually behind the curve on this trend.
I've just never understood the Big Mac. I grew up eating McD's A LOT, and everyone that got the burgers got either the Quarter Pounders (with or without cheese) and the tiny burgers. Never Big Macs. Still don't get the idea of mayo on burgers....
you know whole wheat or no whole wheat.......I would totally eat one of those if you could ever get one that looked like it came from the same planet as the one in that picture!?
and as for the diet vs. reg. cola, a supersize regular coke has the same amount of calories as the damn burger does....and its HFCS. so yeah, diet for me!

IMHO whole wheat bread usually has more flavor than white, but if its from Mcdonalds who knows.

When I saw this, I thought I had to adjust the color of my internets.

Why not order a diet coke with your supersized value meal? At least you avoid a bunch of sugar and calories.

It's still a Big Mac. The whole-wheat bun doesn't make up for the saturated fat.

No Salt Fries = Fresh out of the Oil Fries. Add your own salt :)

So it's on "whole wheat", which in commercial bread means SWEET BROWN COLORED BREAD.
The Big Mac is already too sweet with all that sugary gloppy sauce.
And now they make it actually sweeter, but less salty? YUCK!
If they want to introduce a better bun, look at the Ciabatta buns they offer at Jack in the Box.

Why do I find this incredibly hilarious? I guess if I'm going to eat a Big Mac, I can at least feel better about the nutrition content of my bread....
