Burger King Signs a Deal with a Vegetarian

bug-qb-burger-king.pngVegetarian and former model Heather Mills has signed a £3 million deal with Burger King to help them develop a meat-free burger. Update (3/26/09): Heather Mills has denied reports about being hired by Burger King, but said she would be interested in teaming up with them to spread the word about veganism.

I haven't eaten at a Burger King in years and now I have a great reason to never eat there again.

I really want a veggie burger developed by the woman who wrote "Hey Jude".

Oh, wait...

I assume this will initially be a UK-only veggie burger? I get the feeling that burger eaters outside the US are more open to veggie offerings at fast food restaurants - I had veggie burgers at both McD's and BK in Montreal before either one unveiled such a product in the US (and I was a big fan of the recent, short-lived McVeggie Burger).

I've gotta believe I'm not the only non-vegetarian who still likes veggie burgers and would order them frequently if fast-food places offered them.

I hope BK gets a prenuptial agreement.

I think BK used to have a veggie burger, right? I know because I used to be one

BK making meatless burgers? I thought this was old news...

Man, I bet there are some food scientists or people with similar educational backgrounds who would be content to do the job for a mere £300,000.

BK has a Morningstar Farms veggie burger on their menu. It's not bad!
