James Beard Burger Bash, February 3

From The-Feedbag, Josh "Mister Cutlets" Ozersky and George "Hamburger America" Motz to host a burger bash. In Josh-O's words:

The James Beard house is probably better known for the elaborate meals served by the nation’s top chefs there. But on February 3, the humble hamburger will be the subject of its celebration at the Beard Burger Bash. I’ll be there to bloviate about the grandeur and history of hamburgers, Hamburger America author George Motz will talk about the best burgers in America and the regional folkways that gave them birth, and Harry Hawk, interborough burger champion, will serve up a menu of great hamburgers, both from New York and points west. And, just to make it even cooler, Don Lee from PDT will be serving burger-inspired cocktails.

Update: On Motz's site, the Hamburger Man says, "The bash coincides with a gallery show at the James Beard House of 14 large prints from my book."

Location: James Beard House, 167 West 12th Street, New York NY 10011 (b/n Sixth and Seventh avenues; map) Tickets: $65 for James Beard Foundation members, $75 for the rest of us schlubs
