In case you don't already know, there is a Juicy Lucy-style burger living right here in NYC. I ate at The Stumble Inn the other night and on their menu are stuffed burgers. Mine came with American cheese and bacon inside the patty. It was good, not great, but the cheese and bacon oozed out all over the place. If you're ever craving that style burger here, I'd check it out. It's certainly not a travel-worthy burger (especially considering it is right near J.G. Melon's). I haven't seen it offered anywhere else in Manhattan.

The Juicy Lucy is an American cheese-stuffed burger that originates from Minneapolis. The Stumble Inn lets you customize your stuffed burger with American, cheddar, bleu cheese, Swiss, bacon, jalapenos, sautéed mushrooms, or sautéed onions.
Nothing like taking a bite of your burger and have scolding hot cheese run down your face.... Nice!!! FYI there use to be a place in Franklin Lakes N.J. that did this... Sorry I forget the name...
Yea the only thing I can remember was it was in town right next to the rail road. I think it was a restaurant/bar.. I remember that it was pretty good but we are going back 20+ years...
there is a place in westwood, nj (kind of close to franklin lakes), called the iron horse that does (or at least did) stuffed burgers. I haven't been there in years, but I know it is still there.
Wow, I guess it's changed. I think the last time I was there was 7 or 8 years ago. Perhaps it as taken over new management or something. I remember they had the best pickles and had nice sizes burger (they tended to be very thick) and stuffed with the cheese of your choice. The fries were nothing to speak of, but the burgers were great. Oh well. Another one bites the dust I suppose.

@burgerboy: Whoa what, F.L.? I grew up there! No one knows Franklin Lakes!...
...Wait, there's food in Franklin Lakes? I mostly remember squirrels and houses. Now I'm intrigued.

Come to think of it, it's not too far from where I work.
Hmmm....
Perhaps I should try out their burgers soon.
