First Look at Shopsin's Conan Burger

20080929-shopsins2.jpg

If you haven't read Nick Solares' great post about New York City's hamburger variations and inspirations, then you missed Kenny Shopsin's new Conan Burger, first mentioned in Shopsin's appearance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. The Conan Burger is "a cheeseburger combined with pancakes and served with real maple syrup and hot sauce." According to Nick, the combination works!

Shopsin and Paula Dean should have a cookoff

@ gaffer - good point! I think it looks pretty good...

It's kinda just like pancakes with sausage, except that it'd be tastier with sausage instead of ground beef anyway, so what's the point?

The Conan appearance was amusing, but this is something some stoned 19- yr old would cook in his dorm room.

Conan is probably a 19 y/o stoner at heart.

I'm one of those people who loves the McGriddles sandwiches from McDonalds, so this sounds amazing. I'm with T_C, sausage would be better, but I kinda like that the pancake is poured around the burger. I'm so trying this for breakfast with some pork sausage!

Er a variation on pancakes, bacon, and maple syrup...?

I really looks gross!
I think this is one of those things the Bible mentions as part of the Rapture!
