those onion rings look amazing.

I'm putting my money on Al Roker.

Oh, this isn't competitive eating? Never mind.

While I love the Burger Joint (especially, since it's a few doors down from me), I may have to check out as many of the others that I can--those in the city, or with city outposts.

How do I sign up to be a judge?

umm I dont understand does foxwoods make that great a burger ??? Ill have to go and find out I guess... Though I was there last year and my burger wasnt spectacular.... pretty good though

Yay! Go SHAKE SHACK!!

To make it more interesting the contest should consist of ---

Your best burger plus your best fries or onion rings plus your special ketchup or dip for the fries or rings

Why is Foxwoods so heavily represented? Are they sponsoring it?? And why nothing from the west coast at all?? We do some great burgers over here too!!!

Seems like you could narrow it down to one Foxwoods participant and leave room to invite a broader spectrum of burger-masters....

wonder why last years winner Radius in Boston isn't defending it's title...

I was wondering the same thing..being a south Floridian. I just figured it out. The deal is that this is for the New York Food & Wine Festival (http://www.prweb.com/releases/2008/08/prweb1200644.htm). The South Beach Food & Wine Festival (http://www.sobewineandfoodfest.com/2008/tickets.php) is in February, where Radius won last year. I wasn't aware that Rachel Ray hosts both...now I know. (...and knowing is half the battle.)

Aha... so i guess it makes sense that the chefs are more regional....got it...

Now I'm just bummed that we dont have a festival and bash out here on the left coast....
