Houston Food Writer Robb Walsh Accused of Hamburglary
My friend Robb Walsh, whom many of us have always suspected works for the BIA (Burger Intelligence Agency), was caught (blood) red-handed photographing the "Cowboy Burger" at JR’s Texas Bar-B-Que in Houston. The free-form half-pounder, topped with bacon, Monterey Jack, and mushrooms, all stuffed between Texas toast, is for eating—not photographing. Suspecting he was a "digital Hamburglar," the restaurant's manager confronted Walsh: “Can I ask what you’re doing?" Skeptical of his honest response, the manager then took a photo of Walsh's license plate as evidence.
Here at A Hamburger Today, we are willing to take up a collection to get him out on bail. The authorities refuse to let him out on his recognizance. Knowing Walsh as well as I do, I completely understand their reasoning. To me, it looks like a burger worth being busted for.
