Blogwatch: Cheeseburger at Brown's Diner in Nashville

OMG. I so want one of these. The folks at Green Olive Media were spurred to action by George Motz's book Hamburger America ("I've driven by here literally hundreds of times and never noticed it") and ended up taking the mouthwatering photo above. Are you supposed to eat the pickles as is or move them inside the sandwich? A largely academic question, I'd say, since I'd eat the crap out of this thing either way. [via Photograzing]

I went to see "Bottle Shock" last night and ever since then have been wanting a burger. Alas, TN is a bit far from Washington DC :)
Maybe I'll get a burger from Flamers instead.

Every few years Brown's has a fire, usually a grease fire. If that doesn't add to the wonderful burgers, I would be shocked. I think I know where I need to go to lunch one day this week!

I shouldn't look at pictures like this before lunch. Now I'm craving a burger and fries! I'd definitely eat the crap out if it either way, too.

Having surgery at Vanderbilt next week. I'll just have to drop by Browns before checking in!

@Geezer: Good luck with your surgery. But aren't you supposed to stay off food 24 hours prior to going under the knife?

I still like Rotier's better, but Brown's *is* a tasty burger. And they're open on Sunday.

Brown's is nothing special. Even that picture is not appetizing, in the slightest. They are only considered "awesome" because they have been there forever. Otherwise it's pre-made patties brought in on a truck, served greasy with limp lifeless fries. All for around $8 bucks! Great deal.

Go to Fat Mo's for a better burger.

Case Closed.

My friend Clint took me there for the first time, many years ago, and it is the BEST. Small, not fancy, but burgers to DIE FOR.
