White Manna in Hackensack to Appear on Food Network

Slider Joint Will Appear on 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives'

Via Roadfood.com, I just learned that White Manna in Hackensack, New Jersey, might be featured in an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network. Air date is January 28 at 10 p.m. ET. (Check your local listings for channel.)

I say might be featured because I couldn't find it listed among the locations on the show's page on the Food Network website.

White Manna makes some awesome sliders in a seriously old-school little building that looks like it's been operating since the '30s. AHT visited quite a while back. Here are some photos from the trip:

Wow, what a cool looking place and awesome looking burgers. It's a joy to know such a place exists. Thanks for the pics and heads up. I'll be watching.

I'd like to have the job of traveling around visiting diners! We have one here in town...Cindy's...place is always packed!

This place is my home away from home...I've been to alot of places and ate alot of burgers (probably not as much as adam) and this place is # 1. The flavor is unlike any other burger. This is where the goodness is.

Not too big on White Manna, to be honest. I have the same problem there as I do at White Castle; I like to feel the texture of meat when I bite into a burger. :)

Diners Drive-ins and Dives is a great show, though; I love the shows like that and Feasting on Asphalt that focus on local family-owned places as opposed to the the bigger restaurants. Also, Guy Fieri is a great addition to the Food Network; the network really lucked out that the audience voted for him over that Reggie guy.

This place was pretty good, I will definitely go back in the future. The burgers are greasy as hell but they are awesome. I had 4 double cheeseburgers, some fries, and a drink. Way to much food, but all that was only 12 bucks! The place is uber small but that is also what makes it so cool. Gotta check this place out if your in Northern Jersey.
