The Cheeseburger in a Can Reveals Itself
Cheeseburger in a can: is it edible? According to Honk at The Something Awful Forums, it kind of is! Witness the horror at his documentation of the burger's unveiling and consumption. He describes the taste as, "not so good. Very bland, kind of like pre-made tomato sauce and a bitter aftertaste." However gross the burger tasted, at the very least it didn't cause him any immediate gastro-intestinal pain, and he admits the cheeseburger is probably "faaaar better when you're many kilometers away from civilization on top of some mountain and you can whip out a cheeseburger with nearly the same quality as a McDonald's cheeseburger while your friend eats dry bread or power bars."

I honestly haven't been able to stop thinking about this for 2 days...so awesome.
thanks very much for finding images of the thing outside of the can and thanks to Honk in Germany for offering up his experience with such detailed images.
now can you find someone who actually ate the Celebrity Canned Bacon?

Decidedly gross - I don't understand what sort of business thinking leads to a product like this. Another funny and related product we posted on The Jew & The Carrot blog today is The Mobile Barbeque which actually cooks your hamburger while you drive...

i'm guessing if you go on a week long camping trip, and your fresh food is pretty much gone after two days and you been eating rehydrated food for three days... that crap in a can is gonna taste like heaven.

it still looks likes someone barfed up a burger....
bisbee at 4:38PM on 01/31/08
That is so disgusting... is anyone actually going to enjoy that? I think I'd opt for the power bars, they'd have much more flavor and are a damn site healthier looking!

sadly, it still looks better than your average fast-food burger.

Big woot on following up on this! I bet the burger said "boo" when the can popped open. As for the burger itself, it looks alarming like a lot of fast food burgers I see around these days.

Anyone ever tried getting a real burger in Germany...even in Hamburg? Not gonna happen, unless you're eating in an American hotel chain (yes, McDonald's are all over Germany, but those aren't real hamburgers either). This is army food folks. Grab a can of Spam and chug that raw!

sorry i've been camping for weeks at a time and rehydrated food cooked properly is 1000x better looking than that! not to mention very very tasty, at least depending on the cook.

I agree 100% this is so much worse and vile than rehydrated food! Tried it 'cause I thought it would make a nice change on festivals, boy was I wrong:
