I'm starting to think that no one thinks about what the heck they call a product these days. Mickey Burgers? Any kid who's been to Disney is imagining Mickey being fed into a buffalo chopper.
I worked for a payroll company and the names some of these clients used for their companies defied logic. One guy named his lawn care company after his last name: Gross Landscaping. Another wanted to give a regional "flair" to his company and called it: Dolphin Exterminating. (Groan.)
I've bitten legs off gingerbread men, heads off Animal Crakers and other various limbs from pancakes. So what's the big deal if I devour an ear or two from that annoying little rodent?
Can you imagine the "quality" of that beef? I'm sure parents won't have a problem feeding that to their kids. Who cares what's in it - it's shaped like Mickey!
These shocked me when I found them at our local Target. They just seem wrong.....and I live in Mickey land, Orlando, literally 3 minutes from Disney property. Serioulsy, the fireworks keep me up at night and yet even here it's wrong. They don't even serve these in Disney...land of all food in the shape of a mouse head (pancakes, potatoes, rice krispie treats, candy, -- no burger). Blech!
Ok wow...they have taken it a step TOO far. Love your analysis, especially the last point that we live in a world devoid of ear shaped buns! So true! Haha.
Do they squeek when you bite them? While not my 'thang...I could see kids loving them long time! It's all marketing. Don't want 'em? Don't buy 'em. Cheers, TB.

I use my vast cookie cutter collection to make animal shaped servings for my grandkids (1,4 & 11) out of any food that can be cut or molded.
They really enjoy it, the wierder or grosser the better. They love to joke about things like eating "cheese dog butt".

This is the worst thing I've ever seen. But I can't stop laughing.
My mom made Mickey toast and pancakes for kids . . . but that seems quite a bit more innocent!

It looks like Mickey-shaped buns and cheese might be in the works.

I have a hard time even eating square burgers so mickey mouse patties are out of the question.
