George Motz Now Blogging About Burgers

20080125-hamam.jpgI don't know how I missed this, but George Motz recently started a blog called Hamburger America.

Motz, a cinematographer by trade, is the genius behind burger biopic Hamburger America, which he wrote, produced, directed, etc. He's also the author of an upcoming book of the same name and has made a handful of short videos for us at Serious Eats.

He's probably the most well-traveled, wide-ranging, knowledgeable burger lover I know. If there's one person who should be blogging about hamburgers, Motz is it, and I often wondered why he didn't start a burger blog from the get go. Welcome to burger-blogging, George!

I dig George and his opinions. I think George is a real burgermeister!
Cheers, TB.

Hey Adam - I didn't start a blog earlier because I was writing the damn book. Writing for non-writers is painful and takes up a lot of time. But of course now that the book is coming out in April...

Thanks for blogging about my blog. Maybe I should blog about you blogging about me blogging? You rock.

George

Heh. If you blog about me blogging about you blogging, then I'd have to mention it again, creating a crazy feedback loop. Let's stop it here.

Send me an advanced copy of the book, yo!

"If there's one person who should be blogging about hamburgers, Motz is it?" I protest! There's room at the top for at least two other men I can think of! Adam Kuban first and foremost -- and how can we forget Mr. Cutlets, the majarajah of meat, and author of the forthcoming The Hamburger: A History? (Even though George's book will be more fun.)

Jozersky: I thought of you while writing that, but then I thought it would be a shame to theoretically restrict your blogging to burgers only. That would be a disservice to the meat-loving world.
