Spiderman Burgers in France

DSC07714.JPG, blogged to AHT from the Flickr photostream of noodlepie

Mon dieu! Friend of AHT Graham Holliday sends us a tip on this Spider Man special going on in France's Quick burger chain. "You getting Spider Man burgers in NYC?" he asks.

No, Graham. Burger King, which is blessed with the Spider Man tie-in this go-'round, is only giving us lame scratch-off cards and craptastic kids' meals prizes. We do not get burgers outfitted with "100% fromage filant."

C'est la vie.

My Spidey sense (aka BS detector) tells me that burger hardly qualifies as such. They must have 6 year olds running the ad campaign.

I actually had one of these last week during a vacation in Paris. It's pretty good for a fast food novelty item. It is definitely fromage-d out. For some reason the Coca-Cola in France is tastier as well. http://www.flickr.com/photos/eunjamin/482889022/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/eunjamin/482889020/

Dave - that is so naff I have GOTTA try it. Lunch date tomorrow con-bloody-firmed. Adam - special report coming demain.

quick burger is the WORST fast food joint i've ever eaten at. bread could honestly be cardboard, food's cold, even fries manage to taste like crap.

Actually, Burger King in the UK does have a Spider-Man promo: it's called the "Dark Whopper" (!) and is basically a regular whopper covered in pepper, with spicy sauce replacing the mayo. It's a weird taste, not one for children I don't think, and I guess they agree because they hide the spiderman logo in really tiny letters at the bottom of the poster.
