'New York' Magazine's Top New York Burgers

New York magazine just dumped its "Best of New York 2007" issue, and in it the weekly's food critics name their favorite high-, mid-, and low-end burgers in the Big Apple.

Here are their picks, in descending order from high to low. Oh, and Gael Greene just managed to shoot up even more in our estimation with her low-end fave.

this list is pretty lame. these folk included multiple "lamb" burgers amongst the finest in all of manhattan, along with some of the obvious and a hole in the wall or two to add credibility. leave the burger reviewing to the real burger lovers please...

I would have liked to have seen the picks from their online food editor, Josh "Mister Cutlets" Ozersky. THAT GUY is a serious burger lover.

the waverly inn should disallowed considering 99.9999% of us are not cool
famous or rich enought to try their sacred ground round cow.

my favorite burger in NYC is at Keens Steakhouse on 37th St.
I've lived and eaten in NYC for 40 years, ingested much mulched angus
and Keens was the first spot in NYC to ever hit the TILT button on
burgers for me..still is.
