Arizona Students Diss In-N-Out

Though we at A Hamburger Today think that In-N-Out is great but often overrated, we think some students at the University of Arizona need to spend some time at burger college. When discussing the possibility of an In-N-Out replacing an on-campus McDonald's whose contract is up, here's what a couple said:

"I think Sonic should be there, or Burger King," said James Roberts, a molecular and cellular biology sophomore. "Any place that serves better fries." ...

"Wendy's is a lot healthier, and you can have a salad instead of fries," said Melissa Revelle, a physics and astronomy junior. "Sonic is also better because it has a better variety and quality."

How can you describe a frozen patty (Sonic) as being of "better quality" than a fresh-not-frozen In-N-Out patty? Ai yah!

Although I think In-N-Out is fantastic I'd totally take Sonic over it, the quality Sonic offers in the variety of their menu is fantastic; I don't think In-N-Out really fills the void the students need.

Fair enough, Wingman. I'll concede to the variety argument but still think the quality of the In-N-Out burger patties is superior. We can just agree to disagree on this one ;) Sonic does have a great selection and the tater tots and cherry limeades are great. I wish they would have had the Spicy Island Burger when I was back home for Christmas -- it was a limited-time thing. We don't have Sonic in NYC area, but for some reason they like to tantalize us with television advertising here anyway. Confounding.

what is up with those sonic commercials? i see them all the time and it's always two peeps in a car. they need a chik-fil-a around here too.
