Rachael Ray Opening a Burger Joint?

Rachael Ray's got TV shows, a magazine, and who knows what else. Oh ... how 'bout a burger joint? Media blogger Dylan Stableford has the deets:

Ray told an audience at the American Magazine Conference in Phoenix on Sunday she will open the yet-untitled "burger joint" in New York, based on 190 burger recipes she has cooked up. "We'll rotate them," she said. "Tuna burgers, swordfish burgers, turkey burgers," Ray said, "I like anything you can pick up with your hands — portable food." Ray said she also plans to open fast-food versions of the flagship.

Would you like EVOO with your burger?

Hey Adam! Thanks for the plug!

No problem, T.A.B.! I wouldn't have known about this if it weren't for your blog. Thanks.

And, dude, 190 types of burgers? 190?!?!?!

Many of Rachel's recipes seem good; my wife has made a few. But Ms. Ray has a really broad definition of burger. Tuna? Swordfish? I've seen her suggest chicken for burgers. Not for me.

I actually made chicken burgers from one of her recipes just the other day. Nothing amazing, but enough to make me check the place out when it opens.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Rachael Ray's going to run for the first female president of the US?

Speaking of, I saw a trailer for RR vs. Giada in Iron Chef, backed by the men, Flay & Batali- why is Ray with Batali? Wd. make more sense for Batali to be with the "realer"/more? Italian of the two? And I'm not keen on watching Flay drool over Giada more than I already have, gross. How will they get RR to not talk- and anyone think she'll be done with time to spare? Say, about 30 minutes? Hehe. I tease, I love the girls.

How can there be 190 recipes for burger? I thought there were only two: (1) plain; (2) with cheese.
