Questioning the Castle

An e-mail we just received at AHT HQ (subject line "no taste buds?"), obviously referring to Mr. Cutlets's ranking of White Castle as his No. 4 national (well, somewhat national) burger:

interesting website. I must comment that anybody who would rate any trash food found at WHITE CASTLE as amoung the best of anything (aside from maybe dog food) shouldn't be writing about food. I have eaten at white castle on occassion- not always under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol. even given that stupidity, the after effects were always a sobering experience- and not in a good way. — Steven T.

Now ... How 'bout a poll:

We removed the poll. It was causing the center column of AHT to turn green for some reason. As of poll closing time, 36 people said that White Castle was awesome. Twenty said that it blows chunks. That's 64.3% awesome vs. 35.7% chunk-blowing. Therefore, AHT readers LOVE White Castle.

I love White Castle, but still question Cutlets' taste due to his strange love for the grim and tasteless pre-cooked pucks served at Burke in the Box. His list has several questionable choices.

White Castle is good for what it is, cheap. It's a great way to get your grease on for $4 or $5.
