A Hamburger Today

DuMont Burger in the NY Daily News

Posted by Adam Kuban, December 9, 2005

New York Daily News food writer Irene Sax heads to DuMont and checks in with a review:

Of course you'll have a burger, a fat 8-ounce patty served on a brioche roll with or without cheddar, Gruyère or blue cheese. With it, you get lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and bread-and-butter pickles ($9.50 with salad or fries.) When we ordered ours medium rare, it arrived rosy red in the center, but the meat was so juicy that we ate it all anyway.

Like Chowhounder, frequent AHT commenter, and Soundbiter Bill P., Ms. Sax found she liked the joint's skate sandwich the most.
