Of interest to our New York–based readers might be the upcoming Food and Wine Tasting Benefit. In its seventh year, the event is produced by Project by Project and raises money for ECPAT-USA. EC-Wha? you say? It's an organization that fights child prostitution, child porn, and child trafficking. Certainly a cause worth supporting. And eating and drinking to support it couldn't be easy enough.
The benefit is from 7 to 10 p.m., October 13th at the Puck Building at 295 Lafayette Street. Tickets are available here.
